API 16A Drilling Spool Connected with BOP For Well Pressure Control

Drilling Spool are the parts of well control equipment, which are often used in the oilfield when drilling, Drilling spools are designed to allow safe circulation of mud. The drilling spools that are in line with API specification 16A. Drilling spools allow the smooth circulation of mud during drilling operations and usually have the same nominal top and bottom end connections. Side outlet may differ from each other. Top, bottom and side end connections can be hub end or flanged. The drilling spool is made of alloy steel and heat-treated. It is used on the oil and gas well which is with a pressure of less than 105Mpa. The drilling spool applies to drilling high pressure oil and gas well, the connecting of the by passage of the spool with the valves and pipes will play not only a role of blowout and choking , but also a role of connecting the BOP with the wellhead.
